Can I Pretend that winter is not coming?
I can't believe that Christmas is a month away and each day I expect it to be warm enough for shorts. I really hate the winter, and I have tried each year to pretend that it's not cold, but for some reason this year it is working. Maybe it's the sun shining outside. I don't like coats, shoes and socks, being cold, having the kids inside all day etc. etc. etc. When I was younger I skied a lot and that made up for the miserable winter, but that's not as easy now. There's always next year. St. George sounds better each day. Better Yet...Mexico. I am going to start house shopping today, and I am going to have to brush up on my Spanish.

I agree. In the summer time, as I type on my granite top computer desk, I don't mind the cool stone on my wrists. I don't even notice. IT kind of warms to my skin, which is nice. ...Now, since the temperature dropped again, into the 30s, it is unpleasant to type and waste time at the computer. I wear a coat and put a dishtowel under my wrists. This is an improvement to my wrists, but then what do I do about my cold fingers and my cold nose? Nothing really! I have to quit typing and go do something else active to get my circulation going again...or just go take a hot bath!
Only 4 more months until it starts getting warmer again!
WE just may luck out this year and not get winter! Okay, probably not. find a house for us in Mexico while you're at it, I need the warm as well. Although, a whit Christmas is always fun.
Dito. I totally agree! I dispise the cold. I am going to California for a week, in about 2 weeks. I can't wait. I wish that we had their weather so bad. I miss it. Totally jealous of the rest of my family.
