Mister Cake Pop

Milo is having his First Annual Valentine Cake Pop sell so he can start earning money for his Mission. This kid loves to earn money, and since he has the parents that he does, it gets a little over the top. But lets be real, nobody wants to buy McDonalds toys that were at the bottom of the toy box. So heres the skinny- he is taking orders, starting today through Feb 9th. You can choose delivery dates of Saturday the 12th or Monday the 14th. You can also choose flavors of Red Velvet (milos personal favorite), Chocolate, or Cheesecake or a mix of all three. The bouquet in a pot makes a great table decoration for a fun Valentines dinner, or you can buy them individually for a sweet treat. The pot which has 7 pops in it is $7.00. Individually wrapped pops are $1.00. They both come with a little tag for your Valentines message. Milo is exited to start taking orders, he's been counting down the days. Give him a call.

Lost....

I know we're a day late and a dollar short. But we stumbled on this little gem of a TV series when we downloaded the free trial of netflix. We originally got it because we wanted to watch grown ups, but it wasn't on there. So our weekend night didn't get ruined we found something else. Since watching all of the seasons of lost is on my to do list, we gave it a whirl. We watched 13 episodes in the first three days and finished the season 1 in a week. We've had so much fun putting the boys to bed and snuggling up on the couch and watching 2-3 episodes every night. Then we lock the doors and stay close in bed since we're both a little afraid that Ethan is going to come and get us. :) (even though he is dead...I'm still scared) I must say it is a great way to pass by the most dreary time of the year.

Ignorance is Bliss....BUT knowledge is power

I eat healthy...I really do! Well that is what I keep telling myself, my scale must be broken. I have got to be losing weight...right? I can live forever in ignorance 30 lbs overweight, or I could start the long and grueling process of shedding those lovely extra lbs. Well I started journaling "tracking" and there is much room for improvement in my diet. The tricky part is not losing my milk so I can keep breastfeeding my baby till we are ready to part with that age old method of infant nutrition. So I lost 1.5 "official" lbs in my first 2 weeks of weight watchers, although I claim to have lost at least 3. (my first weigh in was in the morning, and my second was at night, so there has got to be some sort of credit for the time of day, alas...the ignorance that I love. Anyway, I was planning on being skinny by May, but at this rate it is going to be more like August/September, which I am trying to be ok with because I am 30 and it is my 3rd pregnancy, and I just have to be ok with it. So, here I am putting myself out there in a very tight work out outfit for my before ww picture. I mostly wanted to do it so I can be satisfied with my results when I finally get there. Yikes...who is that girl? I swear I see myself as a fit 140 lbs, but reality is that I am not, and I love a good challenge. So size 6's here I come:) Get excited to move from your current home in the attic.

Sorry about the sideways picture, the computer isnt' giving me editing rights to this image.

Brought to you by the makers of Prevacid...

I haven't gotten anything done in the past two weeks besides hold a screaming baby and scramble to take care of my other kids and the house. I finally had the doc call her in some prevacid to help her tummy troubles. I have been suspicious about reflux since she was born, but she was pretty happy so I didn't do anything about it. It must have gotten real bad because she cried all the time. Even when she was sleeping and eating. I am just glad that she isn't my first kid, and I have a little experience in the grumpy baby department. Poor Milo.
So needless to say, I got to paint my toenails yesterday while she took a 3 hour nap and Makay played at Dunkies while Milo was at school.

A few of my favorite things...8 to be exact

Josh...happy anniversary. 8 years ago today I remember you picking me up at the salon to take me to the temple to get married. Here's some of my favorite memories not in any particular order, excluding the wedding and the birth of our kids...those are too easy.

1) When you got hurt in Lake Powell and I had to nurse you back to health. (little did I know that would be the first of many injuries at Lake Powell)

2) When you planned a 6 man pyramid at Deer Creek and I suprised you in the Taskers Boat.

3) Lisa Falls

4) When we got lost in AF canyon on bikes. It is only funny now...not then.

5) The time we walked home from school in 8th grade in a rain storm. I still feel bad Paul missed out on that. He should have never gotten a ride home that day.

6) Our date to the car show. For some reason I always remember that. Maybe because the car show is always on our anniversary weekend. It was fun sitting in all those fancy cars daydreaming.

7) Our trip to Moab and the Ripped Fuel.

8) Dinner at Samba Grill and the $100 bill.
*Bonus- How we bought a snow shack because we though we'd make an extra $30,000/year selling shaved ice covered in sugar water. :) I won't get started on all of our other "ideas" because we don't have enough storage space in google.
PS...I wish we were in Hawaii right now. Just sayin.
PPS....although I think I'd rather have our basement finished than go to Hawaii this year. Maybe I should go tanning and listen to the beach boys to get it out of my system. LOVE YOU!

Yesterday...

And today we will have walls. And a bunch of dust flying in the air. There's a good chance that the air quality is better outside on this red burn week. Josh is at work while ALL of his bro's and bro's in law and dad are downstairs hanging sheetrock. Gotta love being a Mendenhall.

New Years....

I usually don't have many resolutions because I am one of those people that doesn't like to ruin a good thing with trying to be better...but since I have had a very lazy year, I feel like there's a lot of catching up to do to get to where I was before 2010.
1) Be better at receiving things and showing how grateful I really am.
2) Get my kids to be better cleaners
3) Lose 25-35 lbs. (the 10 lb range has to do with the results and stamina. I don't know if I really need to lose 35 lbs, but if I do, I don't know if I'll be able to mentally keep my head in the game, so I give myself a choice at stopping at 25.)
4) Don't stress about exercising. I don't want to be so tired that I am mean to my kids, and the laundry and cleaning has to get done sometime (which is late at night). Once I get this baby on a predictable schedule, I'll try to fit it in regularly, but for now, it is optional.
5) Study things of spiritual nature daily.
6) Try to be loving to my family 90% of the time (I need a little wiggle room for mommy melt downs)
7) Make my yard beautiful come spring including a useful/productive garden.
That's all for now. If I come across any other ideas of things I wish I could do better, I'll add it to my list.
