Christmas has been great, I am actually sad to say it's over, but I did take the tree down yesterday because I couldn't stand to play the undecorate game with Makay. Monday the fun all started. We got snowed in and shoveled all day stopping only to build a snow fort and eat lunch. Kim and Michelle came over that night and we had soup and played True Colors and a funny Christmas trivia/dare game that ended up with Kim and Greg caroling to our neighbors. Tuesday went out to dinner with Josh's parents at Los Hermonos and I ate the most fattening greasy cheese covered thing I could find.(but i did push the guac aside). Wednesday Josh was home and we made our movie for the Berry family film festival. I'll post it later because it is going to be in the Mendenhall family film festival on Jan 11 and I don't want to spoil the fun. I'll give you a hint; me and the kids were dressed up in white makeup and I am still getting breakouts from it. Wednesday night we went to my mom and dad's, watched everybody's movies, ate, opened presents and high tailed it up to the Webbers for some singing and more presents and cookies. The kids crashed on the way home after spotting rudolph in the sky. Santa worked hard that night and it proved sucessful when Milo kept saying "mom, I can't believe I got ___" "I got all the stuff I wanted" Christmas Morning we woke up at 6:30 ish, the kids loved opening their presents and then we got stuck in our driveway on the way to grandma Mendenhall's. We opened more presents, ate more food and had the annual nativity scene with Milo as the donkey and Makay as the shepherd. That night the girls were in from GA so we had another famous Schreiber white elephant party with more food and more presents. We arrived home late that night and got stuck in our driveway again...gotta love good neighbors helping us dig out. Friday we went sledding and it was so freaking cold we left early and went and got hot chocolate and pizza, later that night we met Rachael, John, Debbie, and Grandma at Applebees and missed the SUU Reunion because of a horrible bout of baby diarreah. Saturday we drove 4 hours to a wedding in Idaho Falls and turned around because of the weather. ( a decision we regret because we were almost there and the others that came back that night had great driving conditions.)But I got Cafe Rio and some new jeans out of the deal:) Sunday...we had a normal slow day that ended up with a horse face party and more true colors. Watch the internet for a horse face picture of me to be showing up...it is going to be selling for millions. Well there you have it...our terribly long Christmas Whirlwind...I doubt if even I ever read this long post again.

Naughty Girl...
So...I have been calling Santa all week to report the latest of Milo's naughty/nice status. Currently he is on the nice list. So tonight to help my sis in law with her rebellious 3 year old, I told him that if he got his jammies on nicely that I would call Santa and tell him to bring an extra present. Well he got all excited and brought me the phone and as soon as that zipper was all the way up, he said "ok, you can call him now" So I proceeded with my usual routine of calling Santa, and the oh so innocent 9 and 6 year old sis and bro (respectvely)were intently watching. So I thought I'd shake up the routine to help my story pass. Well I called Santa, I dialed the "wrong" number first and got an operator, and I decided to take if off speaker phone to keep it exciting and mysterious. Well anyway...I called our home phone and "left a message" that the kids needed extra presents. Their faces all aglow at the reality of this conversation, I was naturally pleased with myself to keep the Christmas flame alive and bright in this critical time of life. Earlier, I'd had the thought that i needed to fake another number so the re-dial didn't work, but I had forgotten in the excitement and proceeded to gather my children. We got out in the car and I was letting their dad know about the Santa call and the two olders called back from the back row, obviously pleased with themselves..."you called your own house!" The only way they could know that for sure is if they had hit re-dial...and they were certain that I was bluffing. So there goes my fun, at least the 3 year olds fell for it. I have a lot of practicing to do to stay on top of it when my kids get older....I wonder if that helps brain cells grow?

Where is the LOVE?????

How do I convince myself to go down into my freezing cold basement to work out....Maybe eating a brownie will be a good motivation...then again maybe not. I wish I was one of those 90 lb teenagers that can eat anything and not suffer the consequences. I can't wait till all this yummy goodness is out of my house. Maybe if Jillian were in my face yelling at me, it would be more motivating. I'll Pretend.

Way Wicked Cool...
So this morning Erica get up at 5:30 AM to high tail it down town...or should I say up town, to buy tickets for the upcoming showing of Wicked. They went on sale at 7:00 AM and needless to say we could have been there 10 hours earlier. We waited in line for 5+ hours. Luckily when we got there we found our good friend Liz, and made some new friends as a result. There are a lot of things you can talk about when you are freezing your butt off in the frigid December Utah temps. We covered topics like Brain Cancer, Children, money, shoes, traveling, Broadway, Twilight, what kind of seats we wanted for the show(which ended up being irrelevant since you get what you get and you don't throw a fit), we made a pact, lunch plans, jogged 1/2 mile together, stood in 3 separate lines (which was a good thing there were so many of us together so we could split up and find the shortest line),we even bought hot chocolate together. Luckily we had cha-cha to solve any discrepancies that arose during our discussion like, how many seats does Capitol Theatre hold and is Amy Adams really Mormon? Seriously, it was crazy and a fun way to spend a Friday morning. Next time Wicked comes into town, I'll just show up at Abravanelle hall and buy tickets at 8:30 AM. On second thought, hopefully next time we remember to get them on mom's season ticket early bird pass.

That's what I'm talking about
23.27 to fill up my car with gas. I remember when I bought my blue car in college and there was a summer when the gas prices were under one dollar. After paying $60.00 this year for a tank of gas...this is a welcome change. We kept wondering where all our money was going and I kept reminding Josh that Gas is 3 times what is used to be. Halle-freaking-lujah! That's all I have to say about that.
