Christmas was good to us this year. I was a little worried I had spoiled it on Christmas eve but it turned out great. I cut Makay's hair and there was a step (like in the 80's) above his left ear, and Milo's sweater was 2 sizes too big, (so my picture perfect Christmas was a little less than picture perfect, but nobody else would notice except me.)Plus Milo was bummed out that Santa didn't bring him a big (real)4 wheeler (I'm not talking power wheels...he's serious. He wants a Canam, Suzuki, or Honda, all way above our price range) But once I got over all of those issues, we had a great time. The best part was cuddling with my babies in bed while Santa set up the loot. I was exhausted from all the partying, but Christmas only comes once a year and I didn't want to miss out on one second of it by taking a nap. Christmas morning we had to wake up Milo at 8:30. He got a race track, a hill and a couple of tonka trucks that seemed to satisfy his need for testosterone. He's just going to have to use grandpa's 4 wheelers for now. Makay got a train and I don't know if it will live long enough for Makay to actually play with it. Milo is getting some pretty good use of it now.
Poor Makay...he woke up with a cough on Christmas and it has just been getting worse every day. He was .5 degrees away from Primary Children's ER yesterday, but things are looking better today. He just cries, and sleeps and his eyes are red and glazed over. His cry is more of a petition than a cry. It is so sad. E en when he is feeling lousy Milo can usually cheer him up. He hopped in Makay's bed with him yesterday and sang songs to him and talked to him while I picked up the house real quick. A lot of the time I'll send Milo away and Makay starts crying and as soon as Milo comes back, he stops crying. He really loves his big brother. Maybe he doesn't realize that Milo is the one that occasionally bonks him and is the big thing he is always seeing in his face. He still has a cough today but he doesn't cry as much and his fever has come down a lot. Poor baby. Thanks to some saline solution that my sweet friend Brooke bought and delivered at 10:00 the other night, we have been getting by. Plus Josh brought home my favorite take out from the Pie last night. Lucky me!!! It could be worse, plus it hasn't been bad spending time at home. Good thing Santa re stocked our toy supply.

Brothers are the BEST. You are going to love having those two in succession. As I write, all four of my boys are racing cars in the family room. There is a bond that brothers have that can't be beat (even if they fight a bit). Enjoy watching that relationship grow.
