Snowie Season has Arrived!

We had our Grand Opening this weekend at the Pony Express days in Eagle Mountain. and it was fun to finally get things going. We were supposed to open last week, but the ice guy drove off with our power tangled in his truck somehow and he yanked the power box off the building which busted the window and started all sorts of other issues. He was kind enough to get it repaired for us, but we had to wait to get it opened. Then Ernie the inspector wanted us to change all the outlets to be GFI protected which was more time than expected, but after Josh spent till 2:00 AM rewiring the whole dang thing, we are finally up and rolling. Last night we got the Snowie into the Triple Threat concert at Pony Express, and even though it was 55 degrees, we still did pretty good. Plus it was fun to be making money at one of those events and not spending it like usual. It was a cool experience, I love summer!
Yesterday was a good day altogether. It was the first Saturday I can remember since we have been married that Josh was off on a Saturday and we just got to spend time at home. He takes Saturdays off occasionally for vacations, but it's not the same. It was as nice as I have always pictured it being. Plus I finally hit my 16 lb goal at Weight Watchers. The first 12 pounds came off pretty quick, and the last 4 was a killer. But I am back in the game now, so I might try for 20. But if I don't make it that's OK, I am pretty happy with my 16.4. I still need to do some serious ab work. They are definitely not acceptable and cause some wardrobe issues. Things are good here...the grey cloud that has been looming for the last few weeks has blown past (now that the Snowie is rolling, what a pain in the butt)
If anybody wants to move in our backyard circle, there are two houses for sale. A 3828 sq ft. one for 379,000 and a 2700 sq foot one for 269,000. They are both super nice and I would love to have some friends move in by us.
Also...if anybody needs Graphic Design work done by Josh, he is looking for either a full time job, (paying at least half a million a year, but that's negotiable) or free lance work. Call us!

Yep, it's true

Marcus was hospitalized for falling out of a golf cart. Don't get me wrong, it was quite scary because he has a brain injury and there was blood in side of his head, but he got a lot of crap for falling out of the golf cart. He was throwing up for a whole day before they brought him in and it was a good thing they did because it was worse than everybody thought. It did make all of us count our blessings, there are much worse things to go through. Funny story about the doctor... Josh and Marcus were in a punching war the whole time we were in Florida and Marcus had bruises all up his arm (apparently he lost) and the doctors noticed it when they checked him in. They questioned my parents about the bruising and my mom said "it's from his brother, do you want his number?" Marcus had is coming, that's for sure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILO May 19, 2008

My cute little guy turned 3 last month and I never posted, and I feel Terrible. We had a fun party. We invited all the family and Aaron Lee over. We had slip-n-slide, sno-cones, cake and barbeque. You should have seen his eyes when I came home with balloons. I never buy him anything, so he couldn't believe that he was getting not only one balloon, but a whole bouquet. I stayed up making this lame football cake. It could have been better if I had the good icing color, but Kroger drops worked for him. If you ask him what his favorite part of the party was, he'd tell you " the Slip-n-slide" But he slurs his s's and it is so cute. He was so excited to blow out his own candles, even though nobody was watching except me and grandpa, none of that mattered to him...he was just happy to have a party. He got a bike and a bunch of other toys and he loves to go on long bike rides all around the subdivision. I was bummed out thinking I was going to be going on all these slow walks, but the opposite is true...I chase that kid everywhere. It has been good for my exercise goals. Back to the birthday.... Well the party was on Saturday and his birthday was on Monday. We had Anthony over to slip n slide on Monday again, then we planned this fun night at the zoo. We got the kids all packed up and we drove clear up to Hogle Zoo, where Josh was meeting us from work. Funny thing happened that night. Nobody was at the zoo at 6:30 because it was CLOSED! Are you freaking serious? We probably spent $10 bucks on gas to drive up to the zoo and back with kids who really wanted to stay home a ride bikes instead. Oh well, at least the party was a hit. Milo is turning over a new leaf now that he is 3. He doesn't talk back as much, doesn't hit as much, and he has been going to sleep by himself for naps and night time ( we bribed him with a Lagoon trip if he complies) I have been waiting for 3 years for that. Oh the sweet rewards of motherhood.
